主講人簡(jiǎn)介：

Michel Blanc教授，法國(guó)圖盧茲天體物理與行星科學(xué)研究所空間等離子體物理學(xué)家和行星科學(xué)家，歐洲人文和自然科學(xué)院院士，國(guó)際宇航科學(xué)院院士，美國(guó)航空航天學(xué)會(huì)會(huì)員，獲2023年度中國(guó)航天基金會(huì)航天國(guó)際合作獎(jiǎng)。曾任法國(guó)南比利牛斯天文臺(tái)臺(tái)長(zhǎng)、馬賽天文臺(tái)臺(tái)長(zhǎng)、巴黎綜合理工學(xué)院研究副校長(zhǎng)、國(guó)際空間科學(xué)研究所-北京執(zhí)行所長(zhǎng)，現(xiàn)任中國(guó)科學(xué)院國(guó)家空間科學(xué)中心客座教授。

他發(fā)表論文150余篇，研究興趣包括地球和巨行星的磁層-電離層-熱層耦合系統(tǒng)、以及行星系統(tǒng)和行星磁層的比較研究。他是卡西尼-惠更斯號(hào)土星和泰坦任務(wù)中的跨學(xué)科科學(xué)家。 目前的興趣主要集中在木星系統(tǒng)：向歐空局提出拉普拉斯任務(wù)提案后，他關(guān)注歐空局 JUICE 任務(wù)的發(fā)展，并且是 NASA Juno任務(wù)的聯(lián)合研究員。他還深入?yún)⑴c了國(guó)際子午線圈項(xiàng)目在中國(guó)、歐洲和非洲的發(fā)展。

他目前的工作重點(diǎn)包括：巨行星磁層-電離層-熱層耦合研究；地球中高層大氣和電離層監(jiān)測(cè)（IMCP項(xiàng)目）；行星系統(tǒng)科學(xué)；行星-衛(wèi)星-圓盤相互作用；未來(lái)去往巨行星及其衛(wèi)星冰下海洋的任務(wù)。

Brief Introduction of Professor Michel Blanc

Michel Blanc is a space plasma physicist and planetary scientist working at IRAP, Toulouse, France. He is a member of the Academia Europaea, of the International Academy of Astronautics, and of the Air and Space Academy. He received this year in Wuhan the 2023 Award for International Cooperation in Space of the Chinese Space Foundation. He is currently a visiting professor at the National Space Science Center, CAS, Beijing. He has been the director of two astronomical observatories in France, vice-president for research of Ecole Polytechnique, Paris (2007-2012), Executive Director of ISSI-Beijing (2016-2018) and several times a visiting professor at NSSC, CAS, China since 2018.

Michel Blanc has published about 150 articles in peer-reviewed international journals. His research focuses on the coupled magnetosphere-ionosphere-thermosphere systems of Earth and giant planets and on the comparative study of Planetary Systems and planetary magnetospheres. He has been an Interdisciplinary Scientist on the Cassini-Huygens mission to Saturn and Titan. His current interests strongly focus on the Jupiter system: having led the Laplace mission proposal to ESA, he follows the development of ESA’s JUICE mission and is a co-Investigator on NASA’s Juno mission. He is also deeply involved in the development of the International Meridian Circle Project in China, Europe and Africa.

His current works focus on: (1) the study of magnetosphere-ionosphere-thermosphere coupling at giant planets; (2) the monitoring of the terrestrial upper and middle atmosphere and ionosphere (IMCP project); (3) the science of planetary systems: (4) planets-moons-disks interactions; (5) future missions to Giant Planets and their ocean moons.
