主講人簡介：

Jose Torero教授是UCL土木、環境與測繪系教授、系主任，研究領域涵蓋火災安全、燃燒學、環境治理與環境衛生、新型建筑、重要設施、航空及航天等諸多領域。Jose是澳大利亞技術科學與工程院院士、英國皇家工程院院士、愛丁堡皇家學會院士。他參與了一些世界地標的設計，包括世界第一高的木結構辦公樓、美國航天局Cape Canaveral航天飛機停機庫、2011年“火人節”神廟。Torero教授參與了美國“911”世貿大樓倒塌的調查、智利圣米格爾監獄火災的調查，英國Grenfell火災的公共調查。

Brief Introduction of Professor Jose Torero

Professor José L. Torero is Professor Civil Engineering and Head of the Department of Civil, Environmental and Geomatic Engineering at University College London. He works in the fields of fire safety, combustion, environmental remediation and sanitation, novel architectures, critical infrastructure, aircraft and spacecraft. José is a fellow of the Australian Academy of Technological Sciences and Engineering, the Royal Academy of Engineering (UK), and the Royal Society of Edinburgh (UK). He has been involved in landmark designs such as the tallest timber office building in the world, the Space Shuttle hangars in Cape Canaveral or the 2011 temple for “Burning Man.” He has been part of the World Trade Center collapse investigation, the Chilean investigation of the San Miguel prison fire and currently, he is serving in the Grenfell Public Inquiry.
