主講人簡介：

涂永強院士，1958年10月生于貴州遵義，蘭州大學和上海交通大學雙聘教授。涂永強1982年蘭州大學化學系有機化學專業畢業，1985和1989年在蘭州大學分別獲得碩士(有機碘雜環化學)和博士(天然產物化學)學位，導師黃文魁教授和陳耀祖教授；1993年1月在澳大利亞昆士蘭大學作博士后研究(天然產物化學)，合作導師William Kitching教授。1995年10月回國后在蘭州大學任教授；1996-1998年任蘭州大學化學系副主任；1999年獲得國家自然科學基金委資助的杰出青年基金；2001-2010年任功能有機分子化學國家重點實驗室主任；2009年當選中國科學院院士；2014年作為雙聘教授加盟上海交通大學，并于2018-2022年任上海交通大學化學化工學院院長。現任中國化學會常務理事，中國化學會會士，英國皇家化學會會士。

涂永強教授主要從事有機合成方法、天然產物全合成和金屬有機化學的研究，已在國際著名期刊發表研究論文260多篇。曾榮獲中國化學會“青年化學獎”、“有機合成獎”和“手性化學獎”，國家教委科技進步二等獎，香港求是基金會“杰出青年學者獎”，三次省部級科技進步獎和自然科學一等獎，美國禮來公司“禮來科研成就獎”。2012年被授予“全國優秀科技工作者”稱號。2016年獲“國家自然科學二等獎”。2022年獲何梁何利“科學與技術進步獎”。

Brief Introduction of Professor Tu Yongqiang

Academician Tu Yongqiang, born in October 1958 in Zunyi, Guizhou, is a Changjiang Distinguished Professor, concurrently appointed by both Lanzhou University and Shanghai Jiao Tong University.

Professor Tu graduated from the Department of Chemistry, Lanzhou University in 1982, majoring in organic chemistry. He obtained his master's degree in 1985 and his Ph.D. in 1989 from Lanzhou University, under the guidance of Professor Wenkui Huang and Professor Yaozu Chen. In January 1993, he conducted postdoctoral research at the University of Queensland in Australia, collaborating with Professor William Kitching. He returned to China in October 1995 and became a professor at Lanzhou University. From 1996 to 1998, he served as the associate dean of the Department of Chemistry at Lanzhou University. In 1999, he received funding from the National Natural Science Foundation of China for the Distinguished Young Scholars Program. In 2005, he was appointed as a "Changjiang Distinguished Professor" by the Ministry of Education. From 2001 to 2010, he served as the director of the State Key Laboratory of Functional Organic Molecules Chemistry. He was elected as an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2009. In 2014, he joined Shanghai Jiao Tong University as a dual-appointed professor and served as the Dean of the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering from 2018 to 2022. He is currently the Executive Council member and Fellow of the Chinese Chemical Society, as well as a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry.

Professor Tu is mainly engaged in research in the fields of organic synthesis methods, natural product synthesis, and organometallic chemistry. He has published over 260 research papers in internationally renowned journals. He has received the "Young Chemist Award", "Organic Synthesis Award", and "Chirality Chemistry Award" from the Chinese Chemical Society, the second prize for scientific and technological progress from the National Committee of Education, the "Outstanding Young Scholar Award" from the Hong Kong Jao Tsung-I Petite Ecole Foundation, and three first prizes for scientific and technological progress and natural science from provincial and ministerial levels. He also received the "Lilly Research Achievement Award" from Eli Lilly and Company. In 2012, he was awarded the title of "National Outstanding Scientific and Technological Worker". In 2016, he received the "Second Class Prize of National Natural Science". In 2022, he was awarded the "Ho Leung Ho Lee Science and Technology Progress Award".
