丹尼·萊因伯格，于1976年在智利瓦爾帕萊索天主教大學獲學士學位，于1982年在美國阿爾伯特·愛因斯坦醫學院獲得博士學位，先后在阿爾伯特·愛因斯坦醫學院和伯克利做博士后研究。1986年至2006年，他任新澤西醫學和牙科大學羅伯特·伍德·約翰遜醫學院的生物化學系助理教授、副教授、教授。1994年至2022年，他任新澤西州霍華德·休斯醫學研究所研究員。2023年至今，他任邁阿密大學米勒醫學院人類遺傳學系杰出教授。丹尼·萊因伯格是表觀遺傳學和染色質生物學的領導者，他的研究對哺乳動物轉錄、基因表達和表觀遺傳學領域做出了重要貢獻。他的團隊專注于基因抑制的分子基礎，以分子方式了解不同細胞譜系的產生。目前，他的團隊正在研究被抑制基因細胞區室化的潛在機制，以及三維結構是如何衍生和維持的。丹尼·萊因伯格 2012年當選美國藝術與科學院院士，2015年當選美國科學促進會會士，同年當選美國科學院院士，2020年當選美國科學家榮譽學會（Sigma Xi）會員。

Brief Introduction of Professor Danny Reinberg

Danny Reinberg received his undergraduate degree from the Catholic University of Valparaiso, Chile, in 1976, his M.D. from Albert Einstein Medical School in the United States in 1982, and did postdoctoral research at Albert Einstein Medical College and Berkeley. From 1986 to 2006, he was Assistant Professor, Associate Professor and Professor in the Department of Biochemistry at the Robert Wood Johnson School of Medicine at the University of Medicine and Dentistry, New Jersey. From 1994 to 2022, he was a Howard Hughes Medical Institute investigator in New Jersey. Since 2023, he has been a distinguished Professor in the Department of Human Genetics at the Miller School of Medicine at the University of Miami. Danny Reinberg is a leader in the field of epigenetics and chromatin biology, and his research has made important contributions to the fields of mammalian transcription, gene expression and epigenetics. His team focuses on the molecular basis of gene silencing and understands the production of different cell lines at the molecular level. Currently, his team is investigating the potential mechanism of compartmentalisation of silenced cells and how the three-dimensional structure is derived and maintained. Danny Reinberg was elected a member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences in 2012, a member of the American Association for the Advancement of Science in 2015, a member of the American Academy of Sciences in the same year, and a member of the American Society of Honorary Scientists (Sigma Xi) in 2020.
