題目:作物廣譜抗病的免疫調控機制與育種應用

主講人簡介

何祖華,中國科學院分子植物科學卓越創新中心,研究員,中國科學院院士。1979年至1986年在原浙江農業大學農學系攻讀學士和碩士學位。1996年獲原浙江農業大學植物病理學博士學位,1997年至2000年分別在美國加州Salk研究所、加州大學Davis分校從事博士后研究。2001年12月起任中國科學院上海生命科學研究院植物生理生態研究所研究員,主要從事植物抗病信號轉導與水稻功能基因組學研究,在國際上較早提出抗病與產量協調的研究理念,系統挖掘廣譜抗病基因,剖析抗病-產量、抗病-高溫逆境等交互作用機制,在水稻免疫調控和抗病育種的理論與技術等方面取得重大突破,為作物抗病分子設計育種奠定基礎。研究成果獲得“2017中國生命科學十大進展”,被隆平高科、荃銀高科等40多家育種單位應用并審定多個品種,取得了顯著的經濟與社會效益。以通訊作者在國際著名期刊Cell, NatureScience以及子刊Nature GeneticsNature Biotechnology 等發表論文多篇。先后獲得國家自然科學獎二等獎、全國優秀科技工作者、“慶祝中華人民共和國成立70周年”紀念章、第二屆全國創新爭先獎等。

Brief Introduction of Professor Zuhua He

Professor Zuhua He received his bachelor's and master's degrees at the Department of Agronomy of the former Zhejiang Agricultural University from 1979 to 1986. In 1996, he obtained a Ph.D. in Plant Pathology from the former Zhejiang Agricultural University. From 1997 to 2000, he conducted postdoctoral research at the Salk Institute in California and the University of California, Davis. Since December 2001, he has served as a PI (Principal Investigator) at the Institute of Plant Physiology and Ecology, Shanghai Institutes for Biological Sciences, Chinese Academy of Sciences, focus on plant immune signal transduction and functional genomics of rice.

He was one of the first internationally to propose the concept of coordinating disease resistance and yield, to systematically identify broad-spectrum disease resistance genes, and to investigate the interaction mechanisms between disease resistance and yield, as well as between disease resistance and high temperature stress. His research has led to major breakthroughs in the theoretical and technological aspects of rice immune control and disease resistance breeding. His research achievements were selected as one of the " China's top 10 advances in life sciences in 2017" and have been applied by over 40 breeding company and units, including Longping High-Tech and Quanyin High-Tech, leading to several new varieties and bringing significant economic and social benefits. As a corresponding author, he has published numerous papers in prestigious international journals such as Cell, Nature, Science, and their sub-journals including Nature Genetics and Nature Biotechnology. He has been awarded several prizes, including the second prize of the National Natural Science Award, the National Outstanding Science and Technology Worker, and the second National Innovation Award.
