主講人簡介：

沈佐偉，新加坡國立大學杰出講席教授，數學科學研究所所長。沈教授是發展中國家科學院院士、新加坡科學院院士，同時還是美國工業與應用數學協會和美國數學學會的會士。沈佐偉教授的研究方向為數據科學的數學基礎，包括逼近與小波理論、圖像處理與壓縮感知、計算機視覺和機器學習等領域。他曾應邀在2010年國際數學家大會(ICM)和2015年國際工業與應用數學大會(ICIAM)做特邀報告。

Brief Introduction of Professor Zuowei Shen

Professor Zuowei Shen, Distinguished Chair Professor at the National University of Singapore (NUS) and Director of the Institute of Mathematical Sciences, is a Fellow of The World Academy of Sciences (TWAS), the Singapore National Academy of Science, the Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics (SIAM), and the American Mathematical Society (AMS). His research specializes in the mathematical foundations of data science, with pioneering contributions spanning approximation theory, wavelet analysis, image processing, compressed sensing, computer vision, and machine learning, bridging rigorous mathematical frameworks with cutting-edge computational methodologies. Renowned for his interdisciplinary impact, Professor Shen has delivered invited plenary lectures at flagship mathematical conferences, including the 2010 International Congress of Mathematicians (ICM)—the preeminent global forum in mathematics—and the 2015 International Congress on Industrial and Applied Mathematics (ICIAM).
